Do you know an exciting Indigenous youth-led project related to fish, habitat or water?  We’d like to hear about it!

The First Nations Fisheries Council is seeking participants for a youth panel for the upcoming FNFC Fall Assembly taking place on November 8  to 10, 2021. This event will bring together First Nations leaders, community members, fisheries and natural resources staff, and government partners from across the province to exchange ideas among community members and to showcase a variety of projects. This includes an opportunity to share the work and experiences of youth.

To showcase your project, please fill out the attached form and reply to this email the following information:

  • A paragraph or two about who you are and your community.
  • A short description of a specific project you are working on/have worked on.
  • List who else from your community is involved in the project.

Interested participants should be 30 years of age or younger and submit a response to info@fnfisheriescouncil.ca before October 22, 2021.

FNFC works with and on behalf of BC First Nations to protect and reconcile First Nations rights and title as they relate to fisheries and the health and protection of aquatic resources. For any questions, please reach out to our Project Coordinator, Jenna Duncan at Jenna@fnfisheriescouncil.ca
